The Wilderness Foundation has its base at Chatham Green in Essex, a 400 acre farm with rewilded areas and woodland, and Mann Wood a beautiful 100 acre wild woodland. The foundation also has access to a range of wilderness locations in Scotland and South Africa.

The Foundation is run by a passionate team who believe in the protection of our last remaining green & wild spaces, the education of young people and delivering programmes that borrow the power of nature to change troubled lives for the better, working with around 6000 young people and adults every year. The Foundation has a long history born out of its original work in South Africa and continues to offer wilderness trails in South Africa to leaders and students of schools in the UK.

In addition to the Foundation's existing programmes Creating New Horizons is introducing a range of personal & team development programmes, as well as supporting an initiative to develop new partner sites in the Midlands to expand the great work of the Foundation and help even more young people and protect nature for the benefit of all.
